I decided to revamp my behavior system in the classroom. Once I get back in the classroom (bldg. is under some "fixer upper" construction), I will have a pic to show you, until then you can visualize. :) It's a clip system and quite easy to use. The system focuses on not just moving when you have not followed a rule but moving when you have (which I LOVE)! I will make it more notable when a child is clipping UP, by quickly stating, "Clip up," to the child coupled with a short blurb that tells why. Ex: Jennifer, clip up for helping Heath pick up his books when they fell! If a child should need to clip down it will be stated more discreetly to that child; however, they still have the opportunity to move themselves back up. Out with the old fashioned card system, used primarily for punishment, and in with the new. Why not keep the positives flooding the behavior system, right!! So... all kids start their day on ready to learn. When a child makes it to outstanding 3 times, they get to add a small piece of ribbon or decoration to the clip (clothespin). I am hoping their clips end up full of designs! Now, I am a firm believer in recording info, so to the right are the recording sheets I have made to go with this system. | It looks like this: Outstanding Role Model Showing Pride Ready to Learn Thinking About It Reflection Center Contact Home Enjoy these Lampe FREEbies: Clip up chart!
