**Our math curriculum is Envisions. It is focused on meeting the standards set forth by the Common Core. While learning this math, students will be held more accountable for math vocabulary. Therefore, I will list new words on our site for each chapter. I hope it is helpful when working with your children at home. Please feel free to visit this link to familiarize yourself with the Common Core: www.corestandards.org/.

Assignments:
The kids have plenty of time to work on their assignments during the school day. It is used as a piece of formative assessment for me; a way to check their knowledge of a concept once I've taught it. If they don't finish it at school, I will send it home with them. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns regarding an assignment your child has worked on at home. Their daily learnings are written into their planners each morning.
The only homework your child should have is reading minutes and a few math problems that are specifically for home.
Let me know if you have any questions regarding this week's academics or assignments. Have a fantastic week!
